Yuvraj Singh Six Sixes In One Over

Twenty Twenty world Cup Match. India v/s England. A do or die situation for both the teams. Sehwag’s and Gambhir’s brilliantly orchestrated innings were made to look miniscule by one angry young man, Yuvraj Singh.

Yuvraj Singh Six Sixes In One OverAfter a rather disappointing Twenty Twenty tour so far, Yuvraj was blazing guns on Wednesday Night. A tiff with Andrew Flintoff had Yuvraj all charged up. And the next thing was balls flying all over the park. A helpless Broad could just look up at the skies as balls went flying in the air.

Warning : Do Not Get Involved With Mginger

If you have read my previous post then I might seem like a rather fickle minded person. First I advocate you to join Mginger and then i say do not join it. Ok now if I have made a mistake and I am ready to accept it and hence would prefer others take heed of my advice and not join Mginger.

It has been weeks since i joined Mginger and i have just got two messages by them and guess what are my earnings? Just 40 paise!!!! Damn it ….. that’s not enough to buy a Chloromint also. On top of that I have a referral network of 30 friends. So either the Mginger programmme is a total failure or its a scam. So I would like to advice all my readers not to indulge in it. If you have already registered, no problem. There’s no harm. But if you haven’t then ….Stay Away From It.

Mginger might still be good and maybe it just has not got too many advertisers and hence it is not able to provide mobile users with ads. But still I would advice all those who want to join it to wait and see whether the thing actually works.

Read this article to see what harm Mginger could cause you…..

What’s Mginger ?

I got this mail yesterday from a friend asking me to join this new advertising service that pays you money to recieve ads on your cell. I usually do not join such services as I believe there is no such thing as easy money. But as I was not doing anything online, I decided why not join it and check it out. So two minutes later, I had joined Mginger.

What’s exactly Mginger?

mGinger will send a maximum of 10 sms per day and for every sms  mGinger will pay 10paise. You may think what will you make with such a little amount, but thats not a right thought. You will also get paid for the people you refer. For every sms read by your referral you will be paid 10p and for your friend’s friend you will be paid 5p. In this way, if you refer 10 people who will refer another 10 people each you will be getting Rs.1,860. Yeah its true, more people you refer the more you earn. If you refer 100 people you will get Rs.18,060.  And that’s quite a lot of money. Isn’t it?

When does Mginger pay you?

They pay you when your amount becomes Rs. 300.

Benefits of joining Mginger.

  • You make money for receiving ads on your cell phone. So talk as much as you want on the cell phone and let mginger pay the bills for you.
  • You can personalise the ads. This means you can select what ads you want and what you do not want. You can also select number of ads you want to receive( not more than 10). You can also select the time you want Mginger to send you ads. I have set my time as 12pm to 6am. So when I wake up in the morning I can delete all the ads.
  • As of now I haven’t received any Mginger ads. But those personalised ads could well be helpful to you.

GOD SAVED ME…..

As always I was late or a meeting with my project guide. In fact today I was all ready and set to go for the project meeting but just then a friend’s phone call delayed by departure from my house and helped me keep my record of reaching late.

I picked up my project group mate from his house and speeded my way to reach Goa University(that’s where I do my project). I looked at my watch 10.40, the appointment was supposed to be at 10.30. So that meant I would reach by around 10.45. Cool, not that late after all.

I guess I was riding somewhere between 40km/hr to 50km/hr on my Activa when suddenly from no-where a cyclist ,who until then was travelling a linear path, decided that he had to take an immediate 90 degree turn. I couldn’t react to his immediate turning antics and saw myself crashing into him. I braked hard, even moved my bike to prevent the crash. But the inevitable couldn’t be avoided.

I guess I hit is cycle tyre. I couldn’t see what happened to him or to my friend who was sitting behind me, but I was sliding on the road with my bike. Bruising my legs along as I kept sliding. When my slide stopped, I saw myself just inches away from a large stack of bricks that were possibly kept for some construction work but could have resulted in my immediate death had I crashed into them. As I got up, I saw a small church at the side. Yes,it surely were divine powers at play, which saved my life today. Just had I slided a few inches more then I guess I would have not been writing this post. Also thank God , there were no vehicles behind us on the road. One speeding vehicle and all of us , would have been crunched. Thank You GOD, for saving me and my friend.

I then turned behind and saw that my friend was alright. The cyclist was being fired by a group of people for his negligence while riding. I then got up to see the damage my body had suffered, my pant had torn near my knee region and the region was badly bruised. Even my hands were wounded. (As a matter of fact I am writing this post with my left hand, as my right hand is still in pain) The very helpful people out there immediately brought ice and cold water to wash my wounds. I just wanted to remove my frustration and anger on the cyclist, who had caused this accident. But as I was about to fire a barrage of expletives at him, I realized he too was in a state of shock. I inquired how he was, and he just looked at me with a sorry face, my anger instantly trickled away.

I asked my friend how he was, and he said he was alright. We then called our other project mates who were waiting at Goa University, and informed that we wouldn’t be able to make it. My friend volunteered to drop me home, on my Activa ,which had lost it’s rear view mirror as an after-effect of the accident.

I reached home climbing my three storey building with great pain. No one was there at home. I opened the door, washed my feet with cold water applied some ice and slopped on my bed. Thanked God, yet again for saving me.

At that moment my mother’s deafening words resounded in my head ,”Drive slowly , It’ always good to be slow. You might drive properly but it’s not necessary that others too drive properly.” Words at which I had only laughed at , hit me like a wet brick. From here-on I have made a silent promise to drive slowly. But don’t know how long I shall be able to maintain it.

Recently a friend of mine had met with a tragic death. I had seen the trauma on his loved ones face. Thank God, for saving my loved ones from going through the same trauma. Perhaps it’s the prayers of my elders and good deeds of my parents that saved me.

Once again, THANK YOU GOD.

Coffee With Karan ……Mr. Beans Is Back!!!

 It’s Back

Coffee with Karan or Koffee with Karan , whatever you would like to have it called is back . Watched the show yesterday on Star One at 9 pm. The guests were Karan’s favorites , Kajol Devgan , Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee .So did the show bring back the aura that it had created ?? Was the caffeine ?? Read on to know

A show which brought Karan closer to his viewers than any of his blockbuster movies could do .  Coffee with Karan brought the man from behind the camera to face the camera  .  And Karan played the part of a candid host with elan and definitely better than the Simi’s around  .  Karan being a big name in Bollywood also does help , his show totally annihilates any formality that exists between the guest and the host and that’s what makes Koffee With Karan so very special .

Coffee With Karan

Has the Coffee Changed ???

The sets have got a new look . Instead of Mallika Sherawat , Rakhi Sawant finds quite some mention on the show . Apart from that things have remained the same . Karan’s poise and humor .The superb selection of guests . Everything’s pretty much the same. It’s just the same coffee in a brand new mug .

Smiling’s , a difficult Job

According to the old adage—-” It takes 46 muscles to frown but only 17 muscles to smile” . This implies that we should keep smiling and not frown . Wonderful the saying may be but is it really true ?

Smile and frown

David a student of medicine says — “It wasn’t until my first anatomy class in college that I realized these numbers couldn’t possibly be right. As far as I can tell, there are only about 36 named muscles of facial expression, and they’re not all involved in smiling and frowning. So which ones are responsible for smiling and/or frowning ?” Continue reading….

And here is another confirmation

Here’s What I have to say —“Perhaps this aphorism was just a way of passing on the fact that a smile does not cost anything but it can bring great value to the person it has been directed to. The number of muscles it requires to smile or frown is irrelevant. The real significance lies in the meaning of the saying . So keep smiling . Even if it does take that extra bit . It’ worth the effort isn’t it??? ”  🙂

Sidney Sheldon passes away….

Sidney Sheldon died on Tuesday afternoon(30th jan. 2007) of complications from pneumonia at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. When i read this news on CNN IBN….it surely had me shocked. One of my favorite authors, the author who was responsible for inculcating an interest in novels in me was no longer alive. It was really hard to digest. So that meant an end to those nerve wrecking thrillers,no more of those double crossing games,no more female protagonists taking revenge, and that meant an end of an ERA of fantabulous story telling.
Many authors will come and many will go but none of them will be able to fill the lacuna that Sidney Sheldon’s demise has created. The reading community will definitely miss you Mr. Sidney Sheldon….and my bookshelves will never remain the same.

Here’s  a chronological narration of Sidney Sheldon’s life.

My favorite books of Sidney Sheldon (in order of preference)
1.If Tomorrow Comes
2.Doomsday Conspiracy
3.Nothing Lasts Forever
4. Other Side of Midnight
5. Memories of Midnight

Other books by Sidney Sheldon .
Sidney Sheldon’s autobiography….The Other Side Of Me (This is the only book of his that i have not read as yet)

So if you have not read Sidney Sheldon’s books then you better buy a copy and read one.Start with the books that I have recommended, they shall definitely provide for some very good reading hours.
