Cricket Blackout……India wins,Indians do not witness

I was all geared upto watch today’s cricket match.Preponed my tennis schedule, got up at 6.00 am and went to play so that I could come home early and watch every ball of the match. At 9.00 am i left the tennis court and was all set to catch the match.
How would the Gambhir-Ganguly jodi work, will Sachin click in the middle order, will the Indian bowlers click????These were the questions that kept pounding my brain and I knew all the answers would be available soon. But man I was in for a mighty big SHOCK and so were 50 million of Indian cricket fans…
I did not know on which channel the match was being shown. So took my remote and started doing what I’m best at….Switching Channels.Few minutes later after glancing through Star Sports,DD sports,Espn,Ten Sports,Zee Sports……i was like ,”The match is today na?” Decided to call up a friend and ask him which god damn channel was the match being telecasted. The news he gave me made me go berserk, all that left my mouth were $%&^#@#$ and many many more explectives….

All cricket fans must have realised what the news was.For those few who did not.Hear it is….”The match was being telecasted on NEO sports and that channel is not available in INDIA as yet”.A cricket match being held between India and West Indies and the match is not being telecasted in INDIA???What crap??Absolutely no Logic….So apart from a few lucky guys sitting in the stadium and relishing every moment of the match, the rest of the country could just groan and gloom.

And to worsen things the match proved to be a classic….India scored 338,Ganguly returned to form(98 runs),Dravid got a quick fire 50 and West Indies too put up a fight(324/8.) So it proved to be a nail biting victory for India. These days Indian victories are hard to witness and when they have finally got one…….we have this damn NEO sports to pop out. :)The Neo-DD feud…click here to know why Indians couldn’t witness India’s win .

In an interview to NDTV ,Mr. Dasmunsi(Information and Broad casting Minister) said that NEO sports had put forth some humilating conditions for telecasting the match on DD, which the ministry could not accept. But whatever your issues are Mr. Dasmunsi please try to settle them before the second ODI……we Indians do not deserve this cricket blackout.Do we???
Thanks to,I could keep touch with the match ball by ball, albeit only through words.Hope to catch the next match on T.V.
If you have missed the match completely catch a summary here.

Im the only guy who does not agree with anyone here. although im starving to see india back in its old form…im tired of watching the one match victory in a 5 match series. we hv all seen it before n there is reason o expect that the remaining matches will be a complete whitewash by the windies
im very happy they not telecasting the matches

There was nothing humiliating in the conditions put forth by neosports. Its DD’s fault, not Neo Sports.
Neo Sports was started quite a few months back. I think the first cricket it showed was the Challenger Series.
