God Bless The Examiners

Why would a student  say such a line. Ofcourse, if his results have gone un-expectedly well. Ya, that’s the case with me. Results were out this Wednesday and thanks to prayers of my well-wishers, God’s positive response to those prayers and due to lady luck, i managed to clear my 7th Semester with Distinction. 73.xx % to be precise. My joy knew no bounds. Last semester was one helluva of a time. CAT(and other MBA entrances), IFFI (that almost ran parallel to our exam schedule) , Blogging and many more distractions. But thanks to those angelic examiners, who I am sure were in their best of moods when they glanced through my papers, I am both relieved and happy.

Bad handwriting has always been a tag attached to me. And I’m sure of the trauma and eye stress the examiners would have gone through while correcting my papers. So I reiterate once again….”God Bless the Examiners”. May your pens always dish out good marks for me.

With just one exam to answer, probably my last one. I can just say onething Yuppppeeeee!!! 🙂

The wait is finally over. Eklavya releases in theatres today .The movie has generated a lot of hype . Vidhu Vinod Chopra returns to don the mantle of a director after a long hiatus (seven years). Coffee With Karan ……Mr. Beans Is Back!!!

 It’s Back

Coffee with Karan or Koffee with Karan , whatever you would like to have it called is back . Watched the show yesterday on Star One at 9 pm. The guests were Karan’s favorites , Kajol Devgan , Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee .So did the show bring back the aura that it had created ?? Was the caffeine ?? Read on to know

A show which brought Karan closer to his viewers than any of his blockbuster movies could do .  Coffee with Karan brought the man from behind the camera to face the camera  .  And Karan played the part of a candid host with elan and definitely better than the Simi’s around  .  Karan being a big name in Bollywood also does help , his show totally annihilates any formality that exists between the guest and the host and that’s what makes Koffee With Karan so very special .

Coffee With Karan

Has the Coffee Changed ???

The sets have got a new look . Instead of Mallika Sherawat , Rakhi Sawant finds quite some mention on the show . Apart from that things have remained the same . Karan’s poise and humor .The superb selection of guests . Everything’s pretty much the same. It’s just the same coffee in a brand new mug .

Smiling’s , a difficult Job

According to the old adage—-” It takes 46 muscles to frown but only 17 muscles to smile” . This implies that we should keep smiling and not frown . Wonderful the saying may be but is it really true ?

Smile and frown

David a student of medicine says — “It wasn’t until my first anatomy class in college that I realized these numbers couldn’t possibly be right. As far as I can tell, there are only about 36 named muscles of facial expression, and they’re not all involved in smiling and frowning. So which ones are responsible for smiling and/or frowning ?” Continue reading….

And here is another confirmation

Here’s What I have to say —“Perhaps this aphorism was just a way of passing on the fact that a smile does not cost anything but it can bring great value to the person it has been directed to. The number of muscles it requires to smile or frown is irrelevant. The real significance lies in the meaning of the saying . So keep smiling . Even if it does take that extra bit . It’ worth the effort isn’t it??? ”  🙂

Traffic Signal ……. Reviewed

Page 3 , Corporate and now Traffic Signal . Madhur Bhandarkar finally completes his trilogy .  Madhur’s films are always different, filled with real characters and with glimpses through the life of a common man . Other than his dismal multi starrer “Aan…Men at Work“, Madhur has always been faithful to his audiences by churning out films that are worth a watch. So does Madhur get it right for the third time in a row? Is it a Hatrick or not ? Read on to know

What’s it about—-Traffic Signal dawns over the day to day life of beggars, street vendors, crooks, robbers, con-men, prostitutes, etc. who make a living on the traffic signal . It’s a story that we observe in our daily life but we barely care to notice . Madhur Bhandarkar brings to our notice this thriving 180 crore industry and how it operates . From beggars , to builders , to busiineesman , to ministers, to the mafia all are involved directly or indirectly in the operation of this industry . We wait at the traffic signal grumbling when the red light will turn to green , while they wait excitedly for the light to turn red.As soon as the light shifts to green ,these people at the traffic signal start their operations . In Traffic Signal there is no one basic story as such,it’s a story of several characters and their day to day struggle . A sort of main story does appear during the finishing reels of the film so as to bring the movie to a culmination, but i wouldn’t like to reveal it here.
